Trip Overview
The Everest Three High Passes Trek is one of the most exciting and rewarding treks in the Everest region. This challenging route is perfect for experienced trekkers who want to challenge themselves, explore both the famous Everest Base Camp and the quieter, less-travelled paths of the Khumbu Valley.
Your adventure starts with a scenic 40-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. During peak trekking seasons (October–November and April), you may fly from Manthali Airport, which is around 4 hours by road from Kathmandu, followed by a short 20-minute flight to Lukla.
Along the way you will visit the most beautiful Sherpa villages, such as Lukla, Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Pangboche, Digboche, Lungden and Thame. These traditional communities offer a rare opportunity to experience the warm hospitality, unique culture, and daily life of the Sherpa people.
Stunning Scenery and Thrilling High Passes
This trek is famous for its three high mountain passes, each offering panoramic views of the world’s highest peaks:
Kongma La Pass (5,535 m / 18,159 ft)
Cho La Pass (5,420 m / 17,782 ft)
Renjo La Pass (5,340 m / 17,520 ft)
From these passes, you can enjoy unforgettable views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho-Oyu, Ama Dablam, and many more surrounding mountains.
